Winding Down "We've Only Just Begun" week 38

As I was passing the field below our home, I noticed these square hay bales. For some odd reason, I like seeing them as opposed to the big round bales - but I understand the difference in the amount of work between the two!

Slowing down, I noticed how most of the bales, after being kicked out of the baler, landed as expected: flat to the ground. But then there were a few like this one. 

The non-conformists of hay bales I reckon! Instead of staying put, they bounced upward, and once again  they are guilty of standing out. 

Y'all, that is exactly how we are to react when life knocks us down. We are to bounce back but stronger than before. 
As Revelation 3:8 states, God knows our works. He knows that we're not perfect, that we fall flat sometimes. But through His strength, through His inner peace, we too can bounce back when life circumstances would rather we stay down.


BUT...we're gonna bounce back upright. We're gonna go through the doors He opens with our heads held high and His hand on our backs. Not on our own strength or courage - oh no - We're gonna call upon Him! In His strength, with His plan for our lives on our mind - and the Holy Spirit guiding our footsteps. With God's help, we can do this...Besides, this life is but a journey...and we've only just begun.

Jesus, Touch Me Again

  In Mark, Chapter 8, Jesus laid hands on a blind man and gave him sight; but the man was only "half-healed". And the all-knowing Jesus asked him "Okay, so how's that?"   This story intrigues me.   Here's a blind man who willingly puts his hand in the hand of The Man and is led out of town to be healed.   Did he follow Jesus expecting something miraculous?   Or did he blindly follow like his friends told him to? I visualize him shrugging with an "it can't hurt" attitude.   But I wonder how he felt when Jesus touched him...Can you imagine his excitement as the Holy Spirit bubbled up in his gut?   I imagine he was excited about receiving some sight, but when Jesus touched him again and he saw clearly? Surely, he went from being half blind to dumbstruck.     Now try to imagine how it would have been if Jesus hadn't touched his eyes the second time. And Sometimes...It is Just God

My son's "just God" moment from a few years ago. He was so excited to see that his tossed stick made a cross. Yep...it was "just God" Don't you just love those little moments (no, not the Brad Paisley song!) but those moments that cause us to pause, smile, shake our head, and sigh as we walk on? Those little undeserved moments that happen without a chain of events carefully strung together by human hands; those little moments when attempts at an explanation always comes up short?  You know, those moments when sometimes...its just God?  Yesterday, Tuesday January 12, 2016,  was packed full of "Just God" moments that I'd love to share with y'all!
