Thank You Lord for Your Blessings on Me
One of my mother's favorite songs, "Thank You Lord for Your blessings on me" says a lot about ordinary blessings; blessings we often take for granted. But God in His goodness has promised to meet our basic needs (Philippians 4:19, Matthew 6:25-33) and to send His ministering angels to serve His people (Hebrews 1:14). As I listened to the news following the mid-term elections, I was sickened - yes sickened - that a proud Muslim has been elected to serve the American people. There are so many conflicting accounts of what to expect going forward. Sadly, I doubt if neither side ( of the political debates) know much beyond speculation and wishful thinking. BUT GOD... As Followers of Jesus Christ, we have been given a clear roadmap of where to go from here, we have the promises of God in written form, the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, and an honest and true example to follow. During this month of Thanksgiving, let our hope be in Jesus Christ. Let us not take for granted the...
